Thank You!

I cannot thank you enough for the help I received.  My brother recently passed and my family did not have enough funds for burial and were considering cremation. But thanks to the Compassion Fund assistance, I will be able to go and visit my brother’s grave. For that reason I am humbled and grateful. Words cannot express how thankful I am. Cathy Davy –...

Sincerest Gratitude

In my families greatest time of need, while facing one of the toughest challenges of my adult life, you all were there. I have always been a very strong willed person and a self proclaimed survivor. The fire that took everything from me but my children almost broke me. There was a point when I felt like all was lost and I didn’t know where to turn. Chaplain came to me and said that the Compassion Fund would help. To give it a try. The compassion fund didn’t just help my family. You gave us a place to call home again. With your contribution we were not only able to secure a new home, but to get some basic necessities to get us started. My children each have their own space back and have hope that we will fully recover. I can never repay the members of this board for the faith in mankind that my children now have. Their innocence was restored because of you. I was always raised to believe that you receive your blessings when you are a blessing to other people. I pray that God grants his grace in each of your lives. I will forever be a donator to the Compassion Fund, a recipient of the Compassion Fund, and an advocate for the Compassion Fund. Thank...

Compassion Partnering with Success

Volunteer relief assistance activity rolled out of the Home Office during May after the horrendous tornadoes and storms hit Tennessee and the southeast. Understanding the devastation and helplessness that some of our stakeholders and the communities that surround a few of our facilities were in after the surreal weather, the Home Office and the Compassion fund partnered together to provide some relief assistance. The relief drive took two approaches: 1) a clothing drive engineered by our Accounts Payable department, and 2) a vendor supply donation program developed by our purchasing department. The Home Office clothing Drive was a huge hit thanks to Accounts Payable’s efforts! Many of the home office stakeholders donated new and quality used clothing either specifically to the defined needs of some of our stakeholders, and also, for the overall ill affected communities. The clothing was then driven from the Home Office to the appropriate facilities. The facilities were then in charge of distributing the clothing to the appropriate community relief outlets and to their stakeholders in need. Additionally, Jason Kwart and Nikki Becht of Purchasing did a great job of getting pallets full of essential items such as bottled water, toilet paper, trash bags, hand sanitizer and other items donated by our vendor, Office Depot. The vendor then dropped shipped to the designated facilities, all of these items were then donated out to the community by the facility. This shows the power of “Compassionate Partnering”, many people coming together, each helping out a little, and in total, providing much needed assistance to a few communities and stakeholders who were literally starting...
